The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is now $820/mt, against $800/mt four weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In October, Brazil exported 24,300 mt and imported 3,800 mt of rebar, against respectively 22,100 mt and 27,800 mt in September.
The exports in October were from ArcelorMittal (12,300 mt at $689/mt) and Gerdau (12,000 mt at $700/mt), both FOB conditions and destined to South American countries.
The imports were from Peru (2,500 mt at $707/mt), Turkey (1,100 mt at $565/mt), and Germany (200 mt at $1,750/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,450/mt ($1,121/mt), against BRL 5,350/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
