Assofermet: Scrap prices increase in Europe, mostly stable in Italy

Italian steel traders association Assofermet has said that in the past month scrap prices have increased by €10/mt ($11/mt) in the European market, adding that the Turkish scrap market had already indicated this upward trend at the end of November.
 
Meanwhile, in the Italian market the association recorded a "virtually stable situation, with slight upward price corrections regarding special scrap qualities and prompt deliveries".

Concerning the pig iron market in Italy, Assofermet indicated "stable conditions and good availability". Lastly, ferroalloy prices in Italy have been decreasing amid good availability.
 
Meanwhile, Assofermet also issued steel product and steelmaking raw material import volumes for Port Marghera, Venice during the month of November 2015. The details are as follows:
