Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 1, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 11,200-11,900/mt ($361-383/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,176-1,256/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late January shipments.
