Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 16, 2024

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 11,100-11,800/mt ($342-363/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,124-1,201/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early May shipments.
