Izmir-based Turkish steel producers have increased their ship scrap procurement prices significantly by $5-25/mt since November 15, with the upper end of the price rise announced by a mill which had kept its price at $350/mt for a month. The ship scrap purchase prices have consolidated at $375/mt, moving up from the range of $350-370/mt for delivery to mill by truck. The increases recorded in the deep sea and short sea segments are pushing up domestic scrap and ship scrap prices.
