ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, has announced that it has opened a new steel products warehouse in the central region of Ukraine (Dnipro) in accordance with the strategy for development of its own distributing network that the company started to implement in 2013. From its new, eighth storage facility in Ukraine, the company plans to ship over 3,000 mt of steel products per month. The new storage facility in Dnipro can hold up to 10,000 mt of steel products and possesses a railroad spur and the possibility of trucking services also.
The company’s acting chief marketing officer Anastasiya Tatarulieva stated that Dnipro is the center of steel trade in Ukraine due to its profitable location and developed transport infrastructure, and so the presence of a warehousing base there is a strategic priority for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. The warehouse in Dnipro will also execute the function of a logistics center for the separate districts of central, northern and eastern Ukraine, Ms. Tatarulieva added.
