Ukraine-based Zaporizhstal steel mill, which belongs to Metinvest, has announced that it has started repair works at its blast furnace No.4. The company allocated more than UAH 92 million ($2.27 million) for the overhaul which will be completed in a week.

The overhaul will include the replacement of the three-cone loading device, repair of foundry equipment and key components of the air heater. In addition, the overhaul will involve maintenance of the foundry’s aspiration system, which will ensure reliable operation of environmental equipment during the furnace’s operation.

Meanwhile, Zaporizhstal completed an overhaul at its blast furnace No. 2 and commissioned the furnace in late-May, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
