Australia imposes AD and CVD orders for hollow section exports from five countries

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service has announced that it has decided to impose an antidumping duty for certain hollow structural sections from China, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand and a countervailing duty for the same products from China

According to the statement, antidumping duties will apply to all the hollow structural sections exported to Australia from China, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan, whereas countervailing duties apply to all hollow structural sections exported to Australia from China, except by Qingdao Xiangxing Steel Pipe Co., Ltd (Qingdao) and Huludao City Steel Pipe Industrial Co., Ltd (Huludao).

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Australia terminated the antidumping investigation regarding certain hollow structural sections from Thailand and the countervailing duty investigation for the Chinese exporters Huludao and Qingdao Xiangxing.

The goods subject to investigation are classified under item numbers 73063000, 73066100 and 73066900.
