Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in September this year decreased by 3.9 percent from the previous month and fell by 2.2 percent year on year to 170,815 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-September period of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) declined by 18.5 percent year on year to 1,553,951 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 159,961 units in September this year, down 13 percent compared to August and decreasing by 20.1 percent year on year. In the first nine months, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) decreased by 22.8 percent year on year to 1,508,795 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in September this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 38,779 units, decreasing by 3.5 percent compared to the previous month and up 15.8 percent year on year. In the January-September period of this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 351,175 units, up 19.2 percent year on year.
