In October this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry decreased by 0.2 percent month on month and grew by 3.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In October, new work was up by 0.2 percent, while repair and maintenance fell by 0.8 percent, both month on month.
Construction output in Great Britain in the August-October period of this year is estimated to have increased by 2.4 percent year on year, and was up by 1.2 compared to the previous quarter. In the August-October period of this year, new work rose by 2.5 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of one percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
