In June this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry increased by 1.4 percent month on month and advanced by 2.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In June, new work was up by 1.9 percent, while repair and maintenance rose by 0.5 percent, both month on month.
Construction output in Great Britain in the April-June period of this year is estimated to have increased by 0.8 percent year on year, and was up by 0.9 compared to the previous quarter. In the April-June period of this year, new work remained unchanged, while repair and maintenance recorded an increase of 2.7 percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
