In August this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry increased 0.6 percent month on month and rose by 3.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In August, new work was up by 1.7 percent, while repair and maintenance decreased 1.4 percent, both month on month.
Construction output in Great Britain in the June-August period of this year decreased by 0.8 compared to the previous quarter. In the June-August period of this year, new work was down by 0.9 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of 0.6 percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
