British construction output up 3.4 percent in 2015

In December last year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry increased by 1.5 percent month on month and rose by 0.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In December, new work rose 2.6 percent, while repair and maintenance decreased by 0.5 percent, both month on month.
 
Construction output in Great Britain in 2015 is estimated to have increased by 3.4 percent year on year. In the given year, new work was up by 6.8 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded an decrease of 2.2 percent, both year on year.
