Byelorussian Steel Works increases exports in H1

In the first half of this year, Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) increased its exports by 34 percent year on year to $784 million.

In January-June, the company produced 1.34 million mt of crude steel, while it plans to produce 2.6 million mt in the whole of 2011.

In H1 2011, Byelorussian Steel Works increased steel pipe production by 28.9 percent compared to H1 2010 to 65,000 mt, output of steel cord went up by 8.6 percent year on year to 50,000 mt, while production of rolled steel rose by 5.9 percent to 755,000 mt.
