Quebec, Canada-based steel fabrication company, Canatal Steel USA Inc. announced Thursday that it will occupy the former O'Neal Metals building in Botetourt County, Virginia as its first US operation. Canatal will invest over $1 million in the facility and plans to hire 40 employees by April.

The company, which fabricates and installs steel beams for construction, has said that 95 percent of its business comes from demand from US customers, and the move puts Canatal in closer proximity to its customers.
