Average daily passenger vehicle retail sales in China totaled 47,000 units in the first week of January (January 1-7), down seven percent year on year, while up three percent month on month, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The CPCA said that the New Year holiday (January 1-3) negatively affected passenger vehicle retail sales in the first week of January, while it said sales will improve ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday (February 11-17).
