CSC’s steel sales down 2.7 percent in June from May

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in June this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 2.7 percent to 954,447 metric tons compared to May, accounting for 68 percent of domestic sales. During the first six months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 5.59 million mt, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales.
 
In June, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 24.97 billion ($789.9 million), up by two percent month on month. In the given month, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.76 billion ($87.33 million), increasing by two percent compared to the previous month.
