In September this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) fell by 5.2 percent year on year, following five months of consecutive growth, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
The decline affected all major markets, except for German. In September, the German market showed an increase (+1.1%), while Italy (-17.8%), Spain (-9.6%), the United Kingdom (-6.1%) and France (-1.6%) saw registrations decline compared to September 2017.
In the first nine months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled almost 1.8 million units, up 3.6 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (8.7%), France (5.2%) and Germany (4.0%) recorded the highest increases, while Italy (-0.5%) and the UK (-3.5%) declined, all year on year.
