In May this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) rose by 3.3 percent year on year to almost 212,122 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In May, demand increased in Spain (8.4%) and France (2.1%), while it remained almost unchanged in the other key EU markets, compared to May 2017.
In the first five months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled more than one million units, up 4.1 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (11.4%), France (5.5%), Italy (3%) and Germany (2.9%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-2.6%) market declined, all year on year.
