France's steel product export value down 14.1 percent in Jan-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €3.4 billion, falling by 14.1 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France exported €658.7 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 20.7 percent, €232.98 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 11.9 percent, €149.27 million of cold drawn wire - down by 5.3 percent, €137.4 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 0.4 percent, and €273.13 million of metal structures and parts - down by 13.7 percent, all compared to the same period of 2015.
