Freight volumes on China’s airways up 3.9 percent in January-April

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in the January-April period of this year the overall freight volume transported on China’s airways totaled 2.045 million mt, up 3.9 percent year on year, while the freight traffic volume on Chinese airways amounted to 6.78 billion mt-km, rising by 5.7 percent year on year.

In the given period, the overall passenger volume transported on China’s airways totaled 155 million,up 10.8 percent year on year, while the passenger traffic volume amounted to 265.87 billion person-km, rising by 14.7 percent year on year.
