In the second quarter of this year, world stainless crude steel output increased by 15.1 percent quarter on quarter to 11.81 million mt, increasing by 7.5 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to the preliminary report released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF).
According to the ISSF data, in the second quarter of this year stainless crude steel production increased by 11.5 percent in China and moved up by 5.6 percent in the Asia region excluding China, while increasing by 5.4 percent in the Americas region, decreasing by 11.6 percent in the Central and Eastern Europe region and declining by 0.3 percent in the Western Europe and Africa region, all compared with the second quarter of 2015.
