India’s JSW Steel Limited sees 13% rise in consolidated net profit in Q4 FY 2022-23

India’s JSW Steel Limited has reported a consolidated net profit of INR 36.64 billion ($443 million) for the fourth quarter (January-March) of the fiscal year 2022-23, up 13 percent year on year, a company statement said on Monday, May 22.

The company achieved a total revenue of INR 469.62 billion ($5.69 billion) during the quarter, up a marginal 0.1 percent year on year. Crude steel production during the quarter was highest-ever quarterly output at 6.53 million mt, up 13 percent year on year.

The company said that crude steel production from its domestic mills is expected to be around 25.50 million mt during the fiscal year 2023-24, while saleable steel has been forecast at 24.20 million mt in the same year.
