India’s NMDC Steel achieves one million mt of crude steel output within one year of firing BF

India’s NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has achieved crude steel production of one million mt within just one year of firing up its first blast furnace in August 2023, a company statement said on Friday, August 16.

The company said that the next target for the 3 million mt per year steel mill is to achieve production of one million mt of hot rolled coil (HRC) by the end of the current month.
