The Ukrainian pipe producer Interpipe Corporation (Interpipe) has announced the arrival of new equipment at the construction site of its new electric steel plant Interpipe Steel.

The new equipment consists of a new shearing press СIV 1008L to be used for processing scrap, which was manufactured by German scrap processing equipment manufacturer Akros Henschel. The delivery contract for this equipment was signed back in June 2008.

In addition, Interpipe has also received cable, produced by German company Sued Cable, for the construction of its new cable line, which is to be the first in Ukraine with voltage of 330 kW. The new cable line will provide electricity to the new electric steel mill at Interpipe Steel. Currently, more than half of the cable, required for track plotting, has already been supplied.

The construction of new electric steel plant's Pechnaya electric substation has almost finished.
