Japanese auto output down 9.7 percent in April

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in April this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 643,901 units, decreasing by 69,339 units or 9.7 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
 
Domestic automobile sales in April of the current year in Japan stood at 324,748 vehicles, up 1.6 percent as compared with the same month last year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in April amounted to 369,131 units, down by 10,776 units or 2.8 percent year on year.
