Japanese auto output down one percent in June, rises 3.4 percent in H1

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in June this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 804,201 units, falling by 7,791 units or one percent compared to the same month of 2015.
 
Domestic automobile sales in June of the current year in Japan stood at 420,907 vehicles, down 4.9 percent as compared with the same month last year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in June amounted to 408,079 units, up by 4,349 units or 1.1 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, Japanese automobile production totaled 4,494,583 units, increasing by 156,385 units or 3.4 percent year on year.  
 
Domestic automobile sales in Japan in the first half of the current year stood at 2,547,345 vehicles, down 4.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in the given period amounted to 2,188,862 units, up by 11,225 units or 0.5 percent year on year.
