Toyota’s global vehicle output falls for fifth month in a row in June

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that its global vehicle output decreased by 12.9 percent year on year to 795,862 units in June this year, marking the fifth consecutive month in which a decrease has been observed. In particular, the company’s domestic output fell by 18.8 percent to 254,010 units, while its overseas output in the given month went down by 9.9 percent to 541,852 units, both year on year.

Toyota’s global vehicle sales amounted to 853,082 units in June, falling by 5.1 percent year on year.

In the January-June period this year, the company’s global vehicle output was down by five percent year on year to 4,648,863 units, while its global sales amounted to 4,892,259 units, decreasing by 0.9 percent year on year.
