Producer prices in French industry down 0.7 percent in Jan from Dec

In January this year, producer prices in French industry were down 0.7 percent month on month, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products in France decreased by 0.8 percent in January compared to December and were down 2.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
 
In January this year, prices for exported manufactured products fell by 0.5 percent and prices of transport equipment increased 0.1 percent, month on month. On year-on-year basis, in January prices of exported manufactured products fell 0.5 percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw a 0.9 percent growth. 
 
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in January decreased by 0.9 percent compared to December and were down 2.4 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
