The Livingston Economic Development Council in Louisiana announced Thursday that Memphis, Tennessee-based metals fabricator Quality Iron Fabricators has broken ground on the first phase of construction on a fabrication facility in Livingston Parish. The $7 million initial investment will go toward building a 40,000-square-foot fabrication facility.

The second phase of expansion will double capacity over the next 18 months and is expected to come on line this summer.
