Russian coal exports up eight percent in H1

In the January-June period of the current year, Russian exports of coal increased by 7.9 percent year on year to 65.291 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).

In June alone, Russia exported 11.685 million mt of coal, up 22.3 percent compared to June 2012.

In the January-June period of the current year, Russia produced 171.365 million mt of coal, up 1.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
