Russia's stainless steel imports up 9.7% in October from September

Russian imports of stainless steel products in October this year increased by 9.7 percent month on month to 23,700 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, in the given month imports of stainless billets decreased by 55.9 percent, imports of long stainless steel products declined by 17.1 percent, and ERW stainless steel pipe imports moved down by 28.4 percent, all month-on-month basis.

At the same time, imports of stainless flat steel products increased by 17.5 percent, stainless wire imports moved up by 28.4 percent, and seamless stainless pipe imports rose by 21.6 percent, all month on month.
