Taiwan’s CSC posts lower operating revenues and higher income for October

Taiwan’s largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in October this year its carbon steel sales volume totaled 599,801 metric tons, while in the January-October period its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 6.47 million mt.

In October, CSC’s operating revenues amounted to NTD 29.05 billion ($897.66 million), down by 1.4 percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 517.43 million ($15.98 million), compared to a NTD 366.22 million income recorded in the previous month.

In the January-October period this year, CSC’s operating revenues amounted to NTD 303.98 billion ($9.39 billion), decreasing by 21.3 percent year on year. In the given period, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 1.43 billion ($44.33 million), compared to a NTD 23.38 billion operating income recorded in the same period last year.
