Toyota’s global output and sales reach record high in September

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that its global vehicle output increased by 1.5 percent year on year to 900,919 units in September this year. In particular, the company’s domestic output rose by 12.8 percent to 310,920 units, while its overseas output in the given month decreased by 3.6 percent to 589,999 units, both year on year.

Toyota’s global vehicle sales amounted to 921,308 units in September, rising by 11.6 percent year on year. In the given month, the company’s global sales and production both reached record highs as a result of improved production capacity in each region in response to solid demand.

In the January-September period this year, the company’s global vehicle output was up by 10.1 percent year on year to 7,402,861 units, while its global sales amounted to 7,571,733 units, increasing by 6.7 percent year on year.
