Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that its global vehicle output increased by 14.6 percent year on year to 809,400 units in July this year. In particular, the company’s domestic output rose by 39.2 percent to 308,686 units, while its overseas output in the given month increased by 3.3 percent to 500,714 units, both year on year.

Toyota’s global vehicle sales amounted to 859,506 units in July, rising by 7.8 percent year on year.

In the January-July period this year, the company’s global vehicle output was up by 12.5 percent year on year to 5,703,171 units, while its global sales amounted to 5,797,140 units, increasing by 5.5 percent on year-on-year basis.

The company stated that the increases in both sales and output are due to a recovery from the impact of semiconductor shortages. Similar to the previous month, Toyota’s global vehicle output reached a record high in both July and the first seven months as a result of increased production capacity in response to strong demand.
