Turkey-based Asil Celik’s net profit declines in H1

Turkish specialty steel producer Asil Celik A.S. (Asil Celik) has announced its financial results for the second quarter and the first half of the current year.

Asil Celik has reported a net profit of TRY 8.7 million ($3.03 million) for the second quarter, compared to a net profit of TRY 10.5 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Sales revenues of the company decreased by 11.7 percent year on year to TRY 177.5 million ($61.3 million). The company registered an operating profit of TRY 14.9 million ($5.15 million) in the given period, up 2.14 percent year on year.

In the first half of the current year, Asil Celik's net profit decreased to TRY 13.09 million ($4.52 million), compared to a net profit of TRY 31.3 million in the same period of 2014, while the sales revenues of the company decreased by 10.6 percent year on year to TRY 354.4 million ($122.5 million). Asil Celik's operating profit in the first six months amounted to TRY 25.59 million ($8.84 million), declining from TRY 42.5 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
