Turkey-based Asil Celik’s sales revenues up 71.6 percent in H1

Turkish specialty steel producer Asil Celik A.S. (Asil Celik) has announced its financial results for the second quarter and the first half of the current year.

Asil Celik has reported a net profit of TRY 16.5 million ($4.7 million) for the second quarter, compared to a net profit of TRY 854,989 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Sales revenues of the company increased by 44.5 percent year on year to TRY 254.23 million ($72.49 million). The company registered an operating profit of TRY 33.11 million ($9.44 million) in the given period, rising from an operating profit of TRY 2.79 million recorded in the same period of 2016.

In the first half of the current year, Asil Celik's net profit increased to TRY 28.13 million ($8.02 million), compared to a net profit of TRY 4.65 million in the same period of 2016, while the sales revenues of the company rose by 71.6 percent year on year to TRY 484.69 million ($138.20 million). Asil Celik's operating profit in the first six months amounted to TRY 70.29 million ($20.04 million) increasing from an operating profit of TRY 8.66 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
