Turkey’s wire rod exports increase by 47.3 percent in January-October

In October this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 30,744 metric tons, down by 74.3 percent compared to September and by 69.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $18.88 million, decreasing by 73.6 percent compared to the previous month and by 68.4 percent year on year.

In the January-October period, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 766,124 mt, up 47.3 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 39.4 percent to $469.49 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest wire rod export destination was Romania which received 237,516 mt. Romania was followed by Bulgaria with 66,952 mt and Australia with 66,636 mt.
