UK basic metal output index down 0.2 percent in October from September

According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in October this year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing decreased by 0.9 percent compared to September and was down by one percent year on year. According to the ONS, in the August-October period of this year, the country’s seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing remained stable quarter on quarter and increased by 0.3 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in October the production index for basic metals and metal products decreased by 3.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was down by 0.2 percent compared to September. In the August-October period of this year, the production index for basic metals and metal products rose by 1.7 percent compared to the previous quarter and fell by one percent year on year.
