US ITC decides to conduct sunset review of rebar from seven countries

Wednesday, 10 October 2012 01:50:48 (GMT+3)   |

On Tuesday, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) decided to conduct a full sunset review of the antidumping (AD) orders on steel concrete reinforcing bars from Belarus, China, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine.

The ITC found that the responses from the domestic industry and from the producers in Latvia and Moldova were adequate and, thus, warranted a full review. The ITC found that the responses from Belarus, China, Indonesia, Poland, and Ukraine were inadequate but that circumstances nevertheless warranted a full review.

The ITC's decision to conduct a full sunset review means that parties will have the opportunity to file briefs, testify at the ITC's public hearing, and submit comments. The ITC will also send questionnaires to US and foreign producers, US importers, and US purchasers.
