Notable wire rod, pipe, plate and slab shipments into the US, Oct. 4-10

Wire rod:

  • Two shipments totaling 2,575 metric tons of wire rod arrived into the Port of Mobile, Alabama on October 9 from ports south of Recife, Brazil.
Pipe:
  • Three shipments totaling 1,485 metric tons of API SAW steel pipe arrived into the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana on October 6 from the Port of Mumbai, India.
Plate:
  • Three shipments totaling 1,483 metric tons of hot rolled steel plate arrived into the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 6 from the Port of St. Petersburg, Russia.
Slab:
  • 55,727 metric tons of steel slab arrived into the Port of Los Angeles, California on October 6 from the Port of Praia Mole, Brazil.
