Ex-China offers on flat steel to South America stable in early April

On April 2, SteelOrbis reported that HRC offers were reportedly at $620-635/mt CFR to Chile and approximately $630-640/mt CFR to Colombia. Sources inform SteelOrbis that offers for HRC have since remained stable.

As for CRC, SteelOrbis reported on March 20 CRC offers from China to Chile at $655-660/mt CFR, and present offers have rebounded up $10/mt to $665-670/mt CFR early in April. A source noted that export offers into the region for CRC remained stable through early April despite the fluctuations in the domestic Chinese market. The source added that at the moment ex-China HRC and CRC offers to Colombia are approximately $5-10/mt higher in CFR terms than the offers to Chile.
