Flat steel prices in the Spanish domestic market have remained unchanged as compared to last week. Even though the number of import offers has increased, demand for imported products has remained weak. Meanwhile, local steel mills have continued to give discounts for actual buyers.

SteelOrbis has learned that in the Spanish flat steel market prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) are still standing at €510-520/mt ($658-671/mt) base level, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at €590-595/mt ($761-768/mt) base and hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) base quotations are currently at €570-580/mt ($735-748/mt). All the above prices are on ex-works basis and for October output.
