The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), for export from Brazil to South American countries is $920/mt today, stable over the last four weeks, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.

In November, Brazil exported 11,600 mt and imported 25,900 mt of HDG against respectively 11,800 mt and 55,700 mt in October.

The exports of November were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (6,900 mt at $1,229/mt) and Usiminas (4,600 mt at $1,129/mt), all FOB conditions.

Small volumes were shipped by traders and by CSN.

The imports were from Asia (25,700 mt, of which 22,800 mt at $712/mt from China) and Europe (200 mt at $1,552/mt), also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,700/mt ($1,088/mt) against BRL 6,400/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.

Such increase reflects in part the BRL/USD variation of 6.7 percent in four weeks.
