Turkey’s Kardemir closes its rebar sales

Turkey’s Kardemir issued its rebar price at TRY 19,165/mt ($631/mt), excluding VAT late yesterday, February 1. According to sources, the mill succeeded in selling around 25,000 mt of rebar, while some people say it was around 30,000 mt, with its advantageous payment terms. The final tonnage has not been confirmed by the time of publication. 

Kardemir’s rebar price were close to the lower end of the official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions, which has varied at $625-645/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.
