Turkey’s Kardemir closes its rebar sales

Turkey’s Kardemir had opened its rebar sales at TRY 19,500/mt ($635/mt), excluding VAT, yesterday, February 14. According to sources, the mill succeeded in selling around 10,000-11,000 mt of rebar, supported by its advantageous payment terms, by the time it closed its rebar sales yesterday evening.

Kardemir’s rebar price was close to the lower end of the official rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions in Turkey, which has varied at $635-640/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S. Sources report the workable rebar prices in these regions are at around $620-635/mt ex-works.
