India’s NMDC cuts price for iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited has cut the price of iron ore lumps and fines by INR 250/mt ($3/mt) effective for deliveries from March 21, company sources said on Thursday, March 21.

The effective price for iron ore lumps (with Fe content 67 percent and higher, 10-40 mm) now stands at INR 6,970/mt ($83.77/mt) ex-pithead and that of fines (with Fe of content 64 percent, less than 10 mm) at INR 5,060/mt ($60.81/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
