India’s NMDC Limited hikes iron ore lumps and fines price with immediate effect

India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has hiked prices of iron ore lumps and fines effective from January, company sources said on Wednesday, January 24.

The price of iron ore lumps (10-40 mm with Fe content 67 percent and higher) has been increased by INR 300/mt ($3.60/mt) to INR 7,220/mt ($86.77/mt) ex-pithead and the price of fines (10 mm with Fe content of 54 percent and higher) has been raised by INR 400/mt ($4.80/mt) to INR 5,310/mt ($63.82/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
