India’s NMDC Limited hikes prices of iron ore lumps and fines for January

India’s state-run miner NMDC Limited has increased prices of iron ore lumps and fines for January deliveries with immediate effect, company sources said on Tuesday, January 2.

The sources said that the price of iron ore lumps (10-40 mm with Fe content of 67 percent and above) has been hiked by INR 200/mt ($2.40/mt) to INR 6,920/mt ($83.17/mt) ex-pithead and that of fines (10 mm with Fe content of 54 percent and above) has been raised by INR 250/mt ($3/mt) to INR 4,910/mt ($59/mt) ex-pithead.

All prices are inclusive of mandatory levies like District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess and forest permit fees.
