On March 5, Liaoning Province-based Anshan Iron & Steel Corporation (Angang) released its ex-factory prices for April. The details are as follows:
I. HRC
Prices have increased RMB 700-750/mt ($98-105/mt) from March levels. Thus, the new price of 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235 is RMB 4,670/mt ($657/mt).
II. CRC
Prices have risen RMB 400-1,100/mt ($56-155/mt). As a result, the ex-factory price of 1.0 mm St12 is RMB 5,370/mt ($755/mt).
III. Full Hard coils
Base prices are up by RMB 700/mt ($98/mt) from March levels.
IV. HDG
Base prices have increased by RMB 700-800/mt ($98-113/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 1.0 mm St01Z is RMB 5,550/mt ($781/mt).
V. Color coated
Base prices have seen an increase of RMB 700/mt ($98/mt). Now, the price of 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C is RMB 6,650/mt ($935/mt).
VI. Cold rolled electrical steel
Base prices are up RMB 500-650/mt ($71-91/mt).
VII. Medium plate
Prices have risen by RMB 600-800/mt ($84-113/mt) from March levels. Thus, the new price of 16-20 mm Q235 is RMB 5,210/mt ($733/mt).
VIII. Heavy plate
Prices have increased by RMB 800-1,000/mt ($113-141/mt).
IX. Profiles
Base prices are up by RMB 1,500/mt ($211/mt).
X. Wire rod
Base prices have increased by RMB 500-1,000/mt ($70-141/mt).
XI. Seamless pipe
Prices have risen by RMB 300-600/mt ($42-84/mt).
XII. The current price levels are still in effect for the other products.
The above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 5, 2008.
